The Moki Dugway is the most awe-inspiring drive in San Juan County in my opinion. Located approximately 17 miles from Coral Sands RV Park on Highway 261, it is a must for your itinerary. It is 3 miles of steep switchbacks (11% grade) that was originally built in the 1950's to haul mining materials from Happy Jack to Mexican Hat. Whether you are ascending or descending -- the views are out of sight!! My favorite points are on the descent towards Valley of the Gods where you will see the Moki in the cliff and enjoy the gorgeous panoramic view of the sandstone formations in the valley. The Moki Dugway takes you to Muley Point (turn left on dirt road at the top just before the pavement starts again). For more information visit Moki Dugway and Muley Point | Bluff, Utah
