Hovenweep comes from the Ute language and means Deserted Valley. It is located approximately 40 miles NE of Coral Sands RV Park and is home to Ancestral Puebloan Villages built between 1200-1300, which is about the same time as neighboring Mesa Verde. For more information visit Hovenweep National Monument | Bluff, Utah
The park is open year-round with trails accessible from sunrise to sunset. This is a designated International Dark Sky Park, so plan to stay after dark to see the stars shine! There is no fee for entrance to the park.
